Stanton T. Friedman received BSc and MSc degrees in physics from the University of Chicago in 1955 and 1956. He was employed for 14 years as a nuclear physicist for such companies as GE, GM, Westinghouse, TRW Systems, Aerojet General Nucleonics, and McDonnell Douglas on such advanced, classified, eventually cancelled, projects as nuclear aircraft, fission and fusion rockets, and nuclear powerplants for space.

Since 1967 he has lectured on the topic "Flying Saucers ARE Real!" at more than 600 colleges and over 100 professional groups in 50 states, 9 provinces, 13 other countries. He has published more than 80 UFO papers and appeared on hundreds of radio and TV programs. He is the original civilian investigator of the Roswell Incident and co-authored "Crash at Corona: The Definitive Study of the Roswell Incident." TOP SECRET/MAJIC, his explosive book about the Majestic 12 group established in 1947 to deal with crashed saucers, was published in 1996 and is in its 6th printing. Stan was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award in Leeds, England, in September, 2002, by UFO Magazine of the UK. A documentary "Stanton T. Friedman IS Real" was broadcast in Canada in 2002.

NEW UPDATE ON BRAZIL UFO DISCLOSURE - FROM A. J. GEVAERD

It is a pleasure to inform that the Brazilian UFO Disclosure is going better than expected.

After two small and a medium size release of documents, respectively last year and last May 04, that I informed here before, we at the Brazilian Committee of UFO Researchers (CBU) -- which promoted the campaign that resulted in this opening of files -- have been officially informed that the government has now decided to disclose all documents produced in the 80s and kept secret so far. The release should be at the National Archives in 10 days.

The Brazilian government has been gradually releasing a considerable amount of secret UFO documents, and doing so by decade. So far we have material from the 60s and 70s, most of these last ones released on May 04, specially 195 pages and about 180 photos of the Operation Saucer (including previous leakages we now have over 500 pages of a total presumed in 2,000 pages), conducted in the Amazon by the Brazilian Air Force from September to December 1977, that is certainly the biggest _known_ official innitiative to military investigate UFOs in the world.

So far, over 1,400 pages of Brazilian previously classified UFO documents have been released thanks to the efforts of the Brazilian UFO Researchers Committee (CBU), through the campaign UFOs: Freedom of Information Now, started in 2004 and articulated by the Brazilian UFO Magazine. This last one has been the biggest disclosure ever in Brazil, but the one expected for August should be really big.

This last weekend the Brazilian UFO Disclosure finally reached the general public as the second largest circulation magazine in Brazil, ISTOÉ, published a nice cover and an article with 8 long pages dedicated to the opening of the files. No other general publication has devoted so much space to the subject so far. The reactions are considerable and the article is being republished in hundreds of local papers and websites, potentializing the response from the people.

As for the documents already released, last month I have assembled a team of 30 volunteer translators to get at least the 500 pages already known (through the disclosures and previously leakages) in English to general knowledge. It should be ready in a couple of weeks to be published here and elsewhere. We expect to get the rest of the papers, of other military missions, very soon as well. It takes a lot of work.

AUTHOR AND LEADING UFOLOGIST RICHARD H. HALL HAS DIED

Richard Hall was born December 25, 1930, in Hartford, Connecticut. When the Korean War was imminent, Richard enlisted in the fledgling U.S. Air Force in 1949 and served into early 1951, followed by six years in the Air Force Reserve. After returning to civilian life he enrolled at Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1954. Attracted by then emerging news about sightings of "flying saucers" (UFOs) in the 1950s he opted to make himself available to the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP) then being formed. After working for NICAP for about 10 years, Hall resigned to find paying work because of his impending marriage.

For a number of years thereafter, he worked for various trade associations in Washington, D.C., and for some "Beltway Bandit" consulting firms as a writer-editor. His final formal job before semi-retirement was as an abstractor-indexer at Congressional Information Service, Bethesda, Maryland for about 10 years.

Hall served as Chairman of the Fund for UFO Research, 1993-1998, and is the author of several books. He was selected to be listed in Marquis Who's Who in the East. As well, Hall was a part-time abstractor-indexer for a Washington, D.C., consulting firm that manages an online database for the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, of the National Institutes of Health.

I noticed what I thought was a star in the sky. My balcony faces the north, the object was seen to the northeast. The object seemed to be too bright to be a star, and also too low in the sky.

It didn't seem to be moving though, so I was content to believe it was a star. Then I saw intermittent flashes of light that were very bright and were not strobes.

I decided to film it at this point, as soon as I started to film the object it started to move. It seemed to go up and to the right, growing dimmer as it went.



It grew so dim that you couldn't see it anymore, then suddenly it lit back up to a very bright state.

At first I thought the object was fading off into the horizon, but that was not the case, as it had become so bright again. The motion was slow and smooth, it didn't make any quick movements.

After moving up and to the right for 10 minutes it then reversed the path of its motion and started moving down and to the left. I observed the object for 30 minutes, when I went to sleep it was still there in the sky.

VIDEO: AWESOME LAUNCH OF STS-127 ON JULY 15, 2009

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- Space shuttle Endeavour and its seven-member crew launched at 6:03 p.m. EDT Wednesday from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The mission will deliver the final segment to the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's Kibo laboratory and a new crew member to the International Space Station.



Endeavour's 16-day mission includes five spacewalks and the installation of two platforms outside the Japanese module. One platform is permanent and will allow experiments to be directly exposed to space. The other is an experiment storage pallet that will be detached and returned with the shuttle. During the mission, Kibo's robotic arm will transfer three experiments from the pallet to the exposed platform. Future experiments also can be moved to the platform from the inside of the station using the laboratory's airlock.

Shortly before liftoff, Commander Mark Polansky thanked the teams that helped make the launch possible.

"Endeavour has patiently waited for this," said Polansky. "We're ready to go, and we're going to take all of you with us on a great mission."

UFOs AT ECETI - JAMES GILLILAND'S RANCH - TROUT LAKE, WASHINGTON

Recorded during the 2009 Science, Spirituality and World Transformation Conference at the ECETI Ranch in Trout Lake, WA at James Gilliland's ranch. Nocturnal lights are well known to frequent this region and have been observed for decades by local professionals and visiting scientists. Most of the footage shown here documents events that were observed by dozens of conference attendees during skywatch exercises conducted outdoors at night. Geometric distortions of objects in the images are artifacts of camera jitter and recording with a slow shutter in an attempt to optimize image quality.

Mysterious pictograms consisting of several circles have appeared on a wheat field in Southern Russia’s Krasnodar region. Was it someone’s joke or did aliens visit us?

Sky watchers in southern Russia are trying to explain the appearance of geometrically perfect crop circles in a field. The mystery has attracted dozens of UFO experts in search of extraterrestrial life.

From a bird’s eye view you can clearly see the perfect geometrical figures: giant circles and connecting lines drawn on a wheat field.

Who or what caused them to appear overnight remains a mystery.

TRAILER: MONTAUK UNVEILED - DOCUMENTARY

Montauk is a remote town located on the very eastern tip of Long Island, New York. Five miles away rests the now defunct Camp Hero Air Force base, a rusted and decaying relic that was used primarily during WWII. After the Air Force moved out of Camp Hero, it is said that a privately funded outfit moved into the facility during the early ’70s and began its own research.
