WEDDING MAY BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CARDIFF UFO

Wedding couple sparked UFO alert.... Special glow lanterns set off at a wedding could have been mistaken for a UFO by police officers in a helicopter.

The three-man crew spotted an unusual object in the sky above St Athan on 8 June in the Vale of Glamorgan.

It made headlines around the world but it was only when newlyweds Lucy and Lyn Thomas saw reports on honeymoon that they realised what could have happened. The lanterns were lit in Cowbridge and floated off towards St Athan, close to an RAF base and Cardiff airport.

Guests at the wedding made a wish before each glow lantern was lit.

"There's no doubt in my mind it was our lanterns," said Mr Thomas, 30, a salesman from Llantwit Major in the Vale of Glamorgan.

"We went on the internet on our honeymoon in Turkey and saw a report about this UFO. I thought, 'oh no, it was exactly the same time and I remember they were going straight towards St Athan way'."

The couple first saw the glow lanterns at the Glastonbury festival last year and thought they would make an ideal alternative to fireworks for their "mini festival" wedding party for 150 guests in a field near Cowbridge.

Mr Thomas bought 100 lanterns on an internet auction site and set off about 30 - with guests making wishes - from about 2300 GMT on 7 June until 0200 GMT on 8 June.

"I can see how they'd look like UFOs. They are about 2ft 6in (0.79m) high and are paper lanterns with a wax ball underneath.

"You light them and they inflate and float off - exactly the same principal as a hot air balloon," said Mr Thomas, who said he checked aviation regulations and made sure the lanterns were set off five miles away from Cardiff International Airport.

"You can't judge their size [in the air] because they're so bright. They just look like a big ball of light. When you light them they just go up and up and up.

"Strangely enough we saw them in Glastonbury last year and sat there
for hours trying to figure out what they were."


Once lit, some of the glow lanterns floated off towards St Athan.

He said he could not believe the coverage the UFO sighting had had in the media.

"It's just gone mad," he added.

"But everyone we've spoken to since said there's no doubt that they [the lanterns] were what they spotted."

Wedding guest Geraint James, from Llantwit Major, said he did not think about the connection between the lanterns and the UFO sightings until his newlywed friends rang him on Tuesday after returning from their honeymoon.

"They rang me and said 'do you realise that was probably us?' It was the exact time we set them off," he said.

"A few people had said they looked like UFOs, kind of spooky as they floated off.

"I read about the UFO on the BBC website and saw it had had coverage in India and in the New York Times. It made us laugh. I suppose this sheds a bit of light."

The police helicopter crew reported seeing the UFO at about 0040 BST on 8 June but could not capture any images before the object vanished over the Bristol Channel.

South Wales Police said the helicopter did not give chase and described the crew as very experienced. The sighting has been reported for investigation.

WE MAY BE EXTRATERRESTRIALS AFTER ALL

(UK) - Scientists from the Imperial College of London claim to have found evidence that life on our planet did not originate from Earth itself...

For the first time, the scientists say, it is confirmed that an important component of early genetic material found in meteorite fragments is of extraterrestrial origin.

We had a lot of space and alien stories lately, with one particular interesting making even the Larry King show. But any of that material could be considered insignificant, if Zita Martins’ claims, a research associate at the Department of Earth Science and Engineering of the Imperial College, are in fact correct. According to the researcher, at least parts of the raw material that are believed to have been required to create the first molecules of DNA and RNA may be of extraterrestrial origin.

Martins and her colleagues said they discovered uracil and xanthine, which are precursors to the molecules that make up DNA and RNA and are known as nucleobases in rock fragments of the Murchison meteorite, which crashed in Australia in 1969. She explained that “early life may have adopted nucleobases from meteoritic fragments for use in genetic coding which enabled them to pass on their successful features to subsequent generations."

Apparently, the researchers were successful in proving that the molecules came from space and were not a result of contamination when the meteorite landed on Earth. What supports Martins claims is the fact that meteor showers are believed to have been common several billions of years ago on Earth: “Between 3.8 to 4.5 billion years ago large numbers of rocks similar to the Murchison meteorite rained down on Earth at the time when primitive life was forming,” the press release from the Imperial College reads. “The heavy bombardment would have dropped large amounts of meteorite material to the surface on planets like Earth and Mars.”

Mark Sephton, also of the Imperial's Department of Earth Science and Engineering, believes this research is an important step in understanding how early life might have evolved. "Because meteorites represent left over materials from the formation of the solar system, the key components for life - including nucleobases - could be widespread in the cosmos,” he said. “As more and more of life's raw materials are discovered in objects from space, the possibility of life springing forth wherever the right chemistry is present becomes more likely."

The findings are published in the journal Earth and Planetary Science Letters.

This Blog you are in right now does not pertain so much to the paranormal. It's difficult sometimes to mesh the two even though they do pertain in many ways if you're talking aliens. Essentially, I found myself struggling with not being able to share my personal interests in here. Being a contactee, the paranormal is ever present in my life. The abductee part is over and the induction part has been going on since January 7, 1997, so you can see where I needed a blog that would pertain to subjects other than aliens and UFOs solely.

Besides my own personal experiences that I'll be writing about, I will as well continue to post the articles of others with maybe a paragraph or two, a picture, and then have them link back to the author or source for the complete article.

About the only drawback I've discovered is the tremendously large increase in my Google Alerts now while having to add the word paranormal, amongst a couple of other labels. Sheesh! I used to wake up to about 20 to 30 but this morning I woke up to 70+ Google Alert emails (with 1 to 6 alerts per email). This was along with everything else I had to read. lol

I also intend on keeping the Alien Casebook Frontier Blog and the Alien Casebook Forum active. The forum will now change it's face as it has below, and become more a forum.

The forum is my baby and currently what holds many of my own personal experiences. Unfortunately, a box holds the bulk of those experiences, which should change here shortly as well. It is the forum however where I manage to hook up with other experiencers such as myself so it's still of greater importance.

This more recent fire and explosion at ThePlanet was a real eye opener to me as to how fragile our posts on the Internet are and how easy it is to lose everything. A real sickening feeling came over me because Conforums went down on the 31st, the day before the explosion. Suddenly three days later everyone else involved was going up however Conforums stayed down. That fourth day was a living hell for me as I sat there staring at Google cached items wondering if I was going to have to copy/paste remnants from search in order to retrieve some of my forum. Fortunately that did not happen but I never want to ever have to use the word hindsight, so that's another project I'm working on.

MINISTRY OF DEFENSE

THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES has made 8 Ministry of Defense (MoD) files relating to (Unidentified Flying Objects) UFOs available as of May 12, 2008.

The files are available to download below at no charge for the first month and contain a wide range of UFO-related documents covering the years 1978–2002. So if you want to find out more about lights in the sky over Waterloo Bridge, near misses by pilots, crop circles - and what the UK government thought of it all - this is the place to start. The files are in PDF format.

Some of the highlights include:

DEFE 24/1925 - this file contains a long letter and drawings from a member of the public describing his 'physical and psychic contact' with green aliens since he was a child. One of them called Algar was killed in 1984 by another race of beings. The writer says that he visited their bases in the Wirral and Cheshire, whilst his wife reported seeing a UFO shot down over Wallasey Town.

DEFE 31/172 - On 21 February 1982, a group of customers and staff in Tunbridge Wells report an unknown object with green and red flashing lights - seen heading in the direction of Gatwick. (p.22)

DEFE 31/172 - A detailed briefing prepared by the Ministry of defense for Lord Strabolgi, Government Chief Whip, for debate on UFO's in the House of Lords in January 1979. Paddy Stevens who briefed the Government spokesperson, said, "there is nothing to indicate that UFOlogy is anything but claptrap..." (Page 126-135) and much, much more.

ANOTHER DRONE UFO WITNESS COMES FORWARD - WASHINGTON STATE

JUNE 7, 2007 - CAMAS, WASHINGTON was visited by a drone similar to those found in California during the same time frame.
















Another drone UFO witness comes forward bringing the total drone witness count to 38 throughout 9 different states. Camas, Washington was visited by a drone similar to those found in the Big Basin area and Saratoga, California one day after those two previous sightings. Eye-witness Brent came forward after catching the more recent FOX American Newsroom interview with private investigators Frankie Dixon and T.K. Davis. Shortly thereafter, eye-witness Brent contacted the private investigators and telephone calls were then followed up by Drone Research Team member Anthony Tekatch, aka: OnTheFence. Calls and emails pursued with OnTheFence and Brent over the last 6 weeks in order to gather this complete report.

SIGHTING INFORMATION:

• Date of sighting: Thursday June 7, 2007

• Time of sighting: Before dusk

• Weather conditions: Sunny clear

• Location: Camas Washington, USA

OBJECT DETAILS:

• Color: It had a gold or brass color, reflecting sunlight.

• Sound: It made sound something like TV off air and static.

• Movement: It took off easterly direction. It stopped and rotated. The long fin was the leading direction.

• Shape: There was no place for occupants. It was bigger than Brent's car, estimate 40 ft long. It did not have much thickness, narrow, maybe 4-5" thick. It had an opening in center.

• Other details: There appeared to be windings like on a motor. It had some sort of antenna arrangement on the top as can be seen in Brent's painting. It appeared to be malfunctioning. It stopped about 150 yards away from Brent when he was looking at it. He said that he felt it knew he was looking at it.

SIGHTING DETAILS:

• Other interesting notes: Emergency vehicles were heading West in the direction that the object came from, while object was heading East.

• Follow-up: Brent could not find any news about the emergency vehicle commotion in any of the papers. He checked The Oregonian, The Vancouver, and the local Camas newspaper.

• Other witnesses: Brent's friend is located 2 miles away saw the same object. It appeared like it had two gold colored lights, but may have actually been sunlight reflecting on the appendages.

Explained further into this report, eye-witness Brent did not have a camera in his possession while driving. Brent has put together some drawings of what it was he saw. The following pictures are Brent’s drawings.
















TESTIMONIAL

This following is a testimonial report from Brent written in March 2008.

How does one go about telling his friends and family, that for the past year that you thought you had "gone around the bend" so to speak. I guess that you don't. Well' I didn't anyway. What made me change my mind about a week ago? I finally have someone that can verify my story. No, I have 5 different people with stories similar to my story, and thank God that they were together enough to think to grab their cameras and snap some photographs. Me, being a complete and utter idiot, I was too taken in by the thing to even think about the camera that was in my glove box. I was just too freaked out, and I suppose that I went into some kind of shock.

Here's how things unfolded. I was returning from down town Camas, and as I'm coming up the hill a couple of police cars went blazing by me with their blue lights going, and sirens blaring. I really didn't think anything of it and I pulled back out into the road and proceeded about another quarter of a mile.

Next thing you know as I'm rounding the corner coming up to the intersection of Lake Road and Northeast Everett Street, here comes another couple of police vehicles, as well as a fire truck and a couple of emergency rescue vehicles as well. I pull over and they go tearing by. I'm thinking, it has to have been a really bad accident, so I pull out onto the street and get into the left hand turn lane off Everett, to turn onto Lake Road and 3 more police cars went tearing by. Well my buddy lives right up the road on the left and they weren't stopping there so I got a left turn arrow and proceeded up the hill.


























It was a fairly nice day out that day and it was approaching dusk and as I am going up the hill, I kept looking down toward the lake to see if I could see whether or not the police and crew were headed up Ledbetter road along the lake front. I didn't see them the whole length of the lake on Ledbetter. So as I'm almost to the top of the hill, I noticed what seemed like faint static coming over my stereo, and realizing that I had a CD playing, I pushed the eject button. The CD popped out and the static continued, so I turned the volume down, but I could still hear this static crackling sound and it was very loud. I had the sunroof tilted up like always so I could hear a little wind noise, Therefore I was thinking that I had run over a branch or something similar, and I was dragging it down the road, or something to that effect. I rolled down my driver's side window and the passenger window and noticed that it was getting louder and seemed to be coming from the right side of my car.

I'm going fairly slow by this point and I'm almost to the top of the hill and although I was slowing the car down, the sound kept getting more and more intense, that's when I saw what I would first describe in my mind as a very thin helicopter, coming toward me, like the kind that I've seen them use in Ariel Logging operations. As this thing came closer and it was very close to where I was, I would say within 150 or so yards away from where I had stopped my car, and this thing was about level with my window as it was above the Lacamas Lake just beyond where Lake Road meets Northwest Sierra Street. An excellent view of Lacamas Shores and this craft.














I very soon realized that this thing that I was seeing wasn't anything like I had ever witnessed in my life, I got goose bumps all over and it was at that moment that I knew, we are definitely not alone, and all I could do was stare, with my mouth wide open in awe. I stood there leaning on my car with a nice Olympus Digital Camera in my glove box and I'm sitting there having a close encounter and I don't even think about it, I just froze. There wasn't a person or a car in sight, it was eerie quiet, because I thought if someone else would acknowledge this thing I would know that I'm not having some sort of Acid flashback but there wasn't a car, motorcycle, no joggers, bicycles nothing. This thing stopped straight out to my right over the lake. The body of it looked as if it were white and gold and the thing that kept coming to mind was the windings on a transformer.

It looked like a bunch of windings bound together by large white like collars that actually rotated when the thing turned and zipped off. I actually felt like this thing was aware of me and that it wasn't all to happy with me for observing it, but it appeared to be malfunctioning wherein the noise was like crackling static, and as it made these noises as crazy as this sounds, the thing seemed like it kind of twitched. As the arms on this thing rotated it did so without tilting or moving vertical at all. It spun around on a perfect axis and it was gone in a couple of flicks. The thing moved to the East very fast, and the first thing that came to mind for me was that this thing was headed right up towards Bonneville Dam.















Needless to say, after all the emergency vehicles went by my friend Tim's place, (he lives on Everett Street) he came out into the yard and was smoking a cigarette and he saw and heard this as well. Same static sound and his view of it he said that it appeared to be illuminated on the blades/wings facing forward, he thought it was a helicopter a well at first but the noise it made gave it away. No typical mechanical acceleration sounds, no thrust sounds, just static.

The reason I say that is because (you'll think I'm nuts) the first one actually seemed like it was aware that I was looking at it, and it knew that wasn't good. I don't know why, I just know I could feel it. Also, just prior to this craft began moving along, I could smell what seemed like ozone, or even a burning circuit board.

The down side to this whole sighting has been the huge emotional part of it. I was raised to believe in God and the bible and all of the trimmings. I went to a Catholic school and have been a God fearing creature for most of my life. This sighting has had a profound effect on my ability to negotiate moving around outside without staring up into the sky.

















SIMILARITY TO EXISTING DRONE CRAFTS

After asking Brent to describe which of the existing drone craft images his object looked like, he had the following to say relating it to one of the images from the Isaac drone inventory.

"It was very much like what you see below; at least the body of it was. It brings to mind the windings on a transformer."

WHY NO WITNESSES?

Starting from the bottom, and working upwards at an event paced journey (not time based).

1. Servant of Information: The witness thinks of them self as an everyday person who fits into a society were people serve each other. This witness serves his information to society for the purpose of sharing and understanding, thinking that all people are equal and will understand what he saw as well as he understands what he saw.

2. Defender of account: Depending on the incredulity of the sighting (drones=high, fuzzy spots/lights in sky = low), the witness must defend his sighting to that degree. The witness will get little negative reaction when telling a story about a saucer or fuzzy light in the sky, it has been reported millions of times before him. A witness to something as spectacular as a California drone will take a lot of heat since there has been no path paved for such reports.

3. Disillusioned with reactions: Because of all the negative reaction (despite some positive acceptance), most witnesses will become disillusioned by popular reaction they receive from their story. Some will reply in anger, or separate themselves from the event and stop there because they are no longer welcome by the society they thought that they fit into before. There is no reason to share information with the public at this point; they are no longer a servant of the public. I suspect that this is where most of the drone witnesses are right now.

4. Contemplation of event: If the witness made it past the previous stage without blocking the event from their life. They will have time to contemplate what has transpired. If given enough resources, they may come to new conclusions on their own.

5: Enlightenment: At some point the witness may come to this stage of knowing that what they saw was in fact real and has meaning beyond the rat race of human existence. If compelled, they may once again open up and share their story, but not for the purposes of serving the public, more for the purposes of helping the public become aware.

REACTIONS TO OnTheFence's COMMENTS

I have a theory why they don't stick around for your constant prodding:

The human is easier to figure out then most know or realize. You just happen to know, you naturally sense those things where most others do not. Your explanations are more an example of the psychology of man and how we think.

We pick up information through our life that is so basic that we don't really pay attention to it. This pertains to commonplace information more so. However, when need be, simply by taking any particular subject and looking at it while asking, "what ifs" like 'what would I do if that were me', you'll always find your answers. They might not always be 'dead on' but you'll find answers.

I would also like add a thought here that was not found in 1-5, which is certainly a harsher criticism. This is regarding a blatant betrayal by others involved, originally involved as well and the witness was Isaac. Actually, over the past year I have witnessed two incidents regarding the drones where the witness asked the original individual they reported to, not to divulge their personal information but did it anyway. Consequently, the witnesses saw that such had been passed on to another. They witnessed such simply by reading any of the UFO forums.

When this happens, witnesses completely lose faith in whomever it was they originally divulged said information to. We take such things too lightly sometimes because we're anxious for information ourselves so we tend to allow it because of our 'need to know'. However, such things are done while not considering the witnesses personal life, job, friends, etc., that are all on his/her mind, which is why they did not want their personal information divulged to begin with. In the case of Isaac, it could have easily become a legal matter with the U.S. Government. In the process of such, others see this and decide not to come forward either.

Regarding (1)
Exactly, and the key word here is 'thinks'. We all assume that everyone thinks like us so we react accordingly.

Regarding (2)
And the worst part of it is that most do not realize how hurtful their words can be to such an individual who has done nothing but come to share, only to have eggs thrown at him/her. Ridicule, embarrassment and guilt are three of the most powerful human emotions and they dictate how we act in a given situation. Technically, those emotions literally take over the psyche due to specific chemicals being dispensed by the brain when such things occur. If they stand in the forefront of any such conversation, that conversation will go south like a duck in winter.

Regarding (3)
Very well said and I can only imagine how many people have been disillusioned by the comments of others. Words hurt, even when they're not necessarily hurtful words. Worse yet is the 'acceptance' part. Imagine not feeling wanted or accepted when you know you have something that's real and you have more than a handful telling you otherwise, while at the same time you've been shunned or worse yet, exiled by your peers.

Regarding (4)
That's the problem though; they lose much of the event over time. If they have the immediate resources - good for them but they're not the big numbers.

The bigger numbers of individuals don't think past the thought of what they witnessed. Over time the event becomes vague unless it is brought forward in their mind frequently as to renew the picture in their head in order to keep it alive in their long term memory.

Quite often and over the years I have heard the words, "I had a sighting a long time ago and". Rule of thumb, they didn't run over the event enough times to hold all of that visual information in their long term memory and it's somewhat dissipated. The only thing that tends to remain is the basics like the color, where they were when they saw it and approximately what year it was.

And we all wish for that and hope that everyone ends up there.

While typing (and in my head), what keeps coming to me is how we react to the witness and not how we react to our own experiences. We have to treat the witness with kid gloves and that means everything that comes out of our mouths must be something we wouldn't mind having said to ourselves. (Yes, I will exclude those who have premeditated hoaxes designed only to upset Ufology. They have it coming to them actually, some just don't get it.) You know what I mean.

This is why I like having my own forum. I have control, I have the power of the 'delete' and/or 'edit' button when someone decides to be a smart ace to another or even just snide. Some would say that that is going a bit too far but that only means that they can probably take it because they also probably dish it out. What they don't realize is that most can't take it and they are also rarely ever the ones to dish it out. What the witness may become though is someone who retaliates since that is a natural human reaction. The witness just had their feelings hurt and isn't that the first reaction we have to such pain, we retaliate.

Some forums have just a profanity filter or a warning, I have a special filter in my mine that says, "Read what was just said and pretend it was said to you" (as in me). That's my filter and its fine tuned.

More simply stated, which also encumbers everything you have portrayed here, which is that none of us 'think' like the rest nor do we 'feel' like the rest. It's all about feelings and thoughts.

That was a very nice and overdue statement OnTheFence. You basically said all of those things that everyone needs to read and comprehend. Wouldn't that be nice? Comprehension that is.

This photo above shows the location that the private investigators discovered and it is exactly where the Chad drone was photographed.

As previously reported here, the drone research team (DRT), affiliated with the Drone Research Team Forum had hired private investigators Frankie Dixon and T.K. Davis in order to locate the Capitola drone. It appears that they were sent out to look for other drone locations as well. It is now being reported that the private investigators have located the actual spot where the Chad drone was photographed.

The Drone Research Team (DRT) is composed of:

* Tomi01uk (UK)
* Onthefence (Canada)
* 10538 (USA)
* Nemo492 (France)
* Raska (France)
* Elevenaugust (France)

In earlier reports, it was stated that the Chad drone was somewhere around Bakersfield, but it appears that this is not the case. Originally it was thought that Chad was trying to hide his location since the foliage in his photos did not coincide with Bakersfield.




















The photo above is the original 'cell phone' picture, which Chad presented to Coast to Coast. Many thought that this was a computer generated image (CGI) thinking that the white spot in the trees was a cursor from a computer mouse. When the private investigators discovered the location, that white spot turned from a mouse to a house.

Last month (April 2007), my wife and I were on a walk when we noticed a very large, very strange "craft" in the sky. My wife took a picture with her cell phone camera. A few days later a friend (and neighbor) lent me his camera and came with me to take photos of this "craft". We found it and took a number of very clear photos.

The craft is almost completely silent and moves very smoothly. It usually moves slowly until it decides to take off. Then it moves VERY quickly and is out of sight in the blink of an eye. MORE THAN ANYTHING I simply want to understand what this is and why it is here?

We found your show with Google and I have listened for a few nights now. I have decided that if anyone can help me understand what this thing is, it is you and your audience. I must admit I am deeply unsettled by this thing. I have never seen anything like this in my life... Location: I would prefer not to say for now.

By all appearances, Chad must live very near where that picture was taken since he took it while on a hike near his home.

This photo proves that the private investigators did their job and located the exact vicinity where the Chad drone was photographed.













I believe it is fair to say that private investigators Frankie Dixon and T.K. Davis are certainly worth what ever fee they're being paid since they've given thousands of people answers to unanswered questions. Considering the tremendous amount of foliage in that locale, attempting to find such is likened to finding a needle in a haystack.

LOCATION OF STEPHEN DRONE DISCOVERED
















It was reported earlier by Stephen and Jenna that Stephen had taken his drone pictures "in the area around Big Basin". Unfortunately and until now, we were all under the assumption that this drone was in Big Basin when actually it was a few miles from the border of Big Basin.

More recently, while investigating the Capitola drone, an individual who caught the Capitola story contacted Drone Research Team member elevenaugust. Back in September of 2007 this individual named Tom had taken a picture of the area and stated the following.

"The reason I knew where the photo may have been taken is because I used to work in the area for Pacific Gas and Electric as a meter reader. Though it was several months before I actually drove to Saratoga, California to look in 2007, I knew right away when I saw the photo back in June that it was Saratoga and not Big Basin State park, as Linda Moulton-Howe stated in her website www.earthfiles.com. In fact, I even wrote Linda Moulton-Howe explaining what I found and questioned the validity of the drone photos by questioning how the photographer could have mistaken the location. All that Linda Moulton-Howe did was correct the caption on her website to change the location of the tree line photo, to Saratoga"

This photo taken by Tom shows the ridge in the background. The area is up above Saratoga, California and is commonly referred to as Bohlman Road Ridge where he worked for Pacific Gas and Electric.
















After Tom presented his drone picture to the Drone Research Team, private investigator Frankie Dixon drove to the area to confirm Tom's findings for the DRT. One of his photographs is seen here above. The investigator was obviously standing in a location somewhat different than Tom, but closer to where the drone was originally photographed by Stephen. The tree line is identical.
